Back on Schedule

Last week my Mom, Owen and I drove out to Houston together to help Wendi and Marilee move out to South Carolina. The trip was long and somewhat difficult keeping Owen happy. We had a great time visiting with family and were back on the road Friday morning. We made it in late and enjoyed a good nights sleep. Our little family is back to its usual, sometimes the mundane is what I enjoy the best.

Everything has got to go!

My Scrappy Quilt

So I recently started making a quilt from all my left over fabrics. It has been a fun project and I hope to have it quilted next week. I have finished the quilt top and wanted to show all my hard work. It is big enough for the kids to play on or to cuddle with on the couch. I'll post it again when it is finished.

Owen's first haircut

Owen's hair has been growing so unevenly so I thought I would give it a trim. He did fine, not squirming too much. His hair still looks the same, just a bit more even.

All Done!

Happy Birthday To Me

This past Saturday we celebrated my birthday. Mom, Tim, Heidi, Taylor and Mya all came over to celebrate with us. We had fun visiting and the kids had a blast playing together.
I have to brag about my husband for a second here. This year he did a fantastic job at making my birthday special. He made the cake all by himself (it turned out way better than any of mine) and he gave me some quilting things that I have been wanting to buy for a long time! Thanks again Garett!
Most of the party is on video, but here are some pictures....

I hope to get around to posting some of the video. Check again later.

Visitors!

Yesterday Jerome, Yen and Ashton came to visit. We had a fun time watching the boys play together. Ashton is 7 months older than Owen and much more coordinated. I was hoping that Owen would pick up on some walking skills, but he just isn't that interested. He has begun to climb up on the couch and our bed all by himself. He just started doing it the other day - we were completely shocked and thrilled. :)

Just hangin' out having a good time.

Ashton was excited to get in until he realized that it was not a jumper.

Fun with a pal

Owen and his friend Ezra had a great time playing yesterday. We went to the store together and they chased each other around making lots of silly noises. And to Chick-fil-a for lunch; we were not as messy as I though we would be. All followed by play outside and nap time. They wore each other out having such a great time. What really surprised me was how well they worked together as a team. One would open a cabinet and the other would reach for something for the other to play with. It was interesting to watch. I can only hope that Owen gets along with future siblings as well as he and Ezra do. .... Some pictures of the day.....

Taking it all in.

Constantly on the move.

To finish off the night, PJ's, Paci's, Bears and a Baby Einstein video.
