A Mommy's Paycheck

I, along with many other mom's, stay at home with my little guy. It's good hard work. It's what I want to do. And most importantly I am happy as a stay-at-home mom. There are no monthly or bi-weekly paychecks to cash or deposit into our joint account. But there is the best kind of paycheck that comes in the form of the wonderful experiences you enjoy as you participate in your child's life. I received such a paycheck yesterday when Owen told me "I U U" for the first time and gave me a kiss. It was awesome! Love and gratitude are the best kinds of payment for any mom. I feel fortunate to be able to stay at home with Owen and to have a husband that makes it possible.
