Independence Day was for the most part boring for us, Garett studied all day - it's finals week. But we did end up taking our first trip to the emergency room with Owen. He had been making gasping and panting noises usually followed by no breathing for a couple of seconds. It was unpredictable and scary. It was scaring Owen just as much as it scared us. So we took him in to the ER at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. They took great care of us. Interestingly we were the only patients in the ER (that never happens) and they have valet parking - what great service! After x-rays (not fun) and a physical exam they determined that Owen was having bad reflux flare ups. We took him in for a follow up this morning and it was confirmed. Poor little guy is just suffering. The doctor has increased his meds, we hope that will do the trick. Hopefully your day of celebration was more fun than ours. :)
Oh ya... almost forgot... Owen is now up to 19.2 lbs! His is such a sweet chunk of a baby.
