Trying Something New

Today we met up with a local Rocketing group (SOAR) and launched our rocket that we build last week. We built it well enough to go up fast and straight and to land near by. :) We let Daddy do all the dangerous parts, which was all of it so we just hung back and watched. There were all kinds of rockets big and small. It was fun to watch them go.

The first recovery.

Our neighbor Steve brought his 3 boys to watch.

Our second launch on pad #2. Good shot Garett!

Me and Charly. Hot Hot Hot! The temperature that is .

George helping Owen with his very first rocket launch ever.

Owen at the controls.
(That's a big deal-very nice of them to let him push the big red button.)

This is Owen's first launch (refusing to count) you can't see, but the rocket goes up and flies right behind every one so George rushes off to make sure all is well.

Dad letting Charly get some air.

I don't think you can see it well in this picture, but that is a really dang big rocket. It made the most noise and of course it was a lot of fun to watch shoot through the sky.
