Owen's Birthday Party

Owen turns 3 this coming Monday! We celebrated today. We had a nice small get together with Owen's pals. It was Superman themed - Owen's all time fav! We started decorating two days early since I love party decorations. :) I think they go up and come down too quickly. This way we get to enjoy them longer. Owen has had so much fun anticipating his party, especially the blowing out the candles part. We had Superman tattoos for the the kids, a pin the crest on the Superman and a big blow up Superman that the kids could attack for fun.

The decorations were simple but fun and festive!
When Superman party decorations make my house look better it's a good indicator that I really need to decorate.

Sooooo the cake was two chocolate layers with chocolate pudding in the middle then covered in Cool Whip. It's tastey and not terribly sweet. The squeezy icing tubes I used got runny, but oh well, Owen thought it was so awesome.

A special delivery from the McMullin's in Idaho. It wasn't going to arrive until Monday, but we were suprised when it showed up at our door during the party.

I'm so glad that Owen has good friends. And that most of them were able to celebrate with us. We missed the ones who couldn't make it. As a mom, it feels so good to see your child having fun and being happy. He loves to be loved and loves to play! Being surrounded by people who love him made today one of those extra special days for Owen. Thanks everyone!
