An Exhausting Day of Fun

Today we ventured down town to the GPB tv station. They were having a "Healthy Happy Kids" event. It was very crowded but we were there to meet one of Owen's tv heros - Super Why. There were so many things to participate in, like coloring, making crowns, and animal petting zoo. We were able to arrive early along with a few hundred other people, even so, we still got to do a lot of fun things. We even bumped in to a family we know form church. Their daughter and Owen are in nursery together.

Owen checking out the baby turtles. The egg there is an egg waiting to be hatched. That would be the egg Owen picked up! The lady supervising the turtles gently, kindly and quickly got it from him. :) oops :)

This would have been a fun craft for home (undistracted), it was
glueing painted wood triangles to paper to make a flower or whatever
you wanted. Owen usually starts to help then I end up finishing.

was happy to see him and to give him a hug.

The TV room

All the kids were interested in seeing themselves with all the characters on the
TV, but not sure why they could not see them when they looked around.

Afterwards we went to lunch with the Bird family at Ikea.

Charly managed to catch some Z's on the ride home so she was wide awake while the rest of us relaxed. Sorry Charly, but today you were along just for the ride.
